What makes profanity so profane? Is it the words or the anger behind the words?

I vote for the words themselves since we are reading and not speaking. And you can tell a lot about a person by their choices. Most use , but others love curses that revolve around bathroom activities, and there are some who find God terribly frustrating. Which ones are your favorites, Lonely ???? @80)
