What position works best if your really tight and hes too big for you?

Im a small girl all the way around and iv only been with one other person than the one Im with now and he was pretty small and even that could be uncomfortable at times. But my boyfriend now is a lot larger than normal and sometimes it can be down right painful. We've been together about a year and a half now and I feel really bad because Iv gotten to the point were I always make up excuses for not having because its so unconformable and I don't really enjoy it all that much because of that. Hes extremely attentive and tries as much as he can to make it work but sometimes it hurts so bad we have to stop. I do love him very much and I hate that this has become such a problem with us. Is there any kind of position that would make it at least less painful if not enjoyable?
