Question about abduction by aliens?

i read that many ppl all over the world reported alien abduction that happened to them and if u know the writer known as 'whitley strieber' who wrote the book 'communion'....he said that he lived most of his live contacting non-human beings from outer space and also many ppl witnessed UFO sightings...isn't that all enough for evidence that aliens really exist?? i mean....why would ppl lie and say that they saw UFO and they got abducted by aliens? why would they lie? and why would whitley strieber lie about contacting aliens? are they all insane and crazy and just see illusions? or is it true what they saw and happened to them with aliens? and if it's not true then...why the hell would they lie? what do u ppl think?
