Twilight book 4 has crazy plot turns. Why does it make sense that E and B have a child so fast & J imprints?

Reading Breaking Dawn was a bit of a disappointment because the plot was so weird. I have read the other 3 again and love them. Did anyone else feel the same? Did reading it again help? Does it make sense to you? Maybe I will like it more as a movie...
