Why my Acer Travelmate Laptop 6292 does not have Empowering Technology while the User's Guide says it has?

As much as I like Linux, it sounds like the Vendor ripped you off in the hopes of a valid license key for Windows. Where are you shopping? Hong Kong back alleys? Are you sure it doesn't say Aser or something?
