Am i legal???.....?

just wondering if I'm legal...i was born in El Salvador..i think my dad came here through a church related visa as a minister i think...hmmm i have a pport, a Texas id, social security card, and I'm authorized to work in the us..all of these are legal doents...been living in the us for about 14 years..and my parents do pay taxes also..yet I'm not a permanent resident or have a green card i think..what would i have to do to become a resident... and would becoming a pharmacist kind of help..since i think it's a professional career that i wish to pursue..what do you think??..and thx in advance
