Before the BCS which bowl game hosted the most national championship games?

Before the BCS, number 1 and number 2 all played in different bowls games during the bowl season because the Bowls were determined by conference affiliation. So that would really be hard for someone to determine that because lets say for example under the old system, Ohio State and Boise State were 1 and 2, Ohio State would be in the Rose Bowl while Boise State would be in the Fiesta Bowl I believe. So whoever the voters decided would just be the number 1 team in the end. So I guess you could say that both would sort of be National Championship games.
