It's not the point of your religion but the dogma that is followed blindly by some religious people. They will ignore information just because they prefer to believe that goddidit and the Bible says so. It's like someone choosing to ignore the presence of the car in front of them because their book says it doesn't exist. They are unwilling to open their eyes and confirm that it 's there... Atheists are open to the things in the world that present themselves. If we were to blindly follow the teachings af the people interpreting the Bible, we would still be in the dark ages... earth is the center of the universe and there would be no investigation... They killed people for believing otherwise. Look what they did to Galileo... Atheists didn't do that...
